here's a GD Humanized fanfic thingo idea i've had for a while that unfortunately i most likely will never write

it's called like "A Day With" and it's just. a player completing more and more difficult demon levels, one per chapter or something. might be written as a kinda journal by the player

but it focuses primarily on the levels as people and their actual interactions, rather than. well. levels in a video game. their fighting style and stuff is still brought up, but not the main focus

This is hard. They're a construction worker but also a pathetic coward. They have a gun for whatever reason. Normal likes to steal things from their toolbox and sometimes their gun (I'll draw normal one day)

Human Limbo sketch from forever ago 😵‍💫 Doctor no name because they still do not have one 💔

Limbo’s story in general has been a huge wip for ages, but it’s a frankenstien mix of my own and Mindcap’s official lore for Limbo, the story of a machine created by a greedy manager of a steel factory to up production but ended in it malfunctioning and killing everybody. The only way to escape being to choose the right key..

In my version this still takes place in the “gd universe”, human Limbo was the doctor of _____ .. running all sorts of experiments to aid human life because they were always under threat of the unstable world, demons,, they eventually became more and more obsessed with their work, ignoring the well being of their employees and just letting this project literally control their life as they worked tirelessly on it hint hint. The fatal accident still occurs where something goes terribly wrong but THATS still being worked on 🤪

I guess you can say they were… FOCUSED 🤣

gdh character (and lore) idea:

a level who enjoys exposing drama and controversy. think someone who goes out to great lengths to expose hack-verified levels, or levels with secret ways, or levels with shady creators, stuff like that.

except they don't just expose controversy, they create it. at some point (or maybe from the start), they find levels who are the smallest bit suspicious and go after them. they twist things to show that every level is controversial. every level is wrong.

then they get accused of being controversial themselves.

maybe their verifier ends up being shown as a hacker. maybe their creator did something wrong in the real world.

but it would hurt more if it was something the level had done themselves.

maybe their constant accusations were wrong. maybe their taste for drama was getting called out. or maybe...their challenges (in their domain, this IS a level!) are unfair to players. their challenges cause too many player attempts to die in places that could have been optimized or improved. in other words,

they end attempts unfairly. they're an unfair level.

that would be SO fun to explore. how does it feel going from the accuser to the accused? do they believe they actually are unfair? are their challenges ACTUALLY unfair? and on a deeper level, do they paint other levels as controversial to distract from their own errors? is that why they believe that every level is wrong?
